WHO DO YOU TRUST?
Yes indeedy! It's a Zagor "Secret Invasion" tie-in (I presume)! THRILL as the inhabitants of Earth battle to keep from being pushed off of their own planet by a hoard of shifty, racist, disease-carrying, agreement-breaking alien interlopers!
(By the way, "Kara Bela" is my favorite Italian restaurant; their manicotti is to die for.)

It could be a SI tie in, or maybe a Final Crisis one, with the painted cover and avant garde design...
Kara Bela is also the name of an Italian drag queen I picked up one night in a bar. He lip syncing of Vikki Carr's IT MUST BE HIM was stunning!
Aw come on, look at that chief. He's a Skrull I tells ya.
No, no! Can't you tell by the emblem on his chest that this is the latest revamp of Hawkman?
Who do I trust?
Um, Blockade Boy?
At least to a point. I'm not planning on accepting any kono-tinis from him any time soon.
Is that Skrull impersonating the indian from the Village People? BTW, do the Village People still exist in your time?
While you'd think that letting European artists loose on the Old West would produce amazing, screwed-up stuff, that cover is probably the most exciting thing about that book. It feels kind of backwards -- you'd think the Italians or the BelgĂans would turn the late 19th century in North America into a surrealist steampunk acid trip from a lack of cultural references and the desire to write and draw something interesting, but they always seem to play it so damned straight...
I would rather read a mash-up of the Big-Two Big-Events into one big mess. Something like JLA/Avengers gone even wronger, played for sick laughs. Working title: Secret Crisis
Gustavo: And it has so much artwork-obscuring type on it that it could be a Marvel comic. ("THIS IS IT! THE BIG ONE! BUY IT NOW OR YOU'LL BE SORRY!" etc.)
Stephen: I'm (sexfully) agog!
Jon: I knew you'd catch up. Eventually.
Comixbear: Aw, man...! Don't give Geoff Johns any more ideas!
Bill S.: If you even see me near a kono-tini, you'll know I'm a Skrull. (I'm allergic!)
MaGnUs: Yes, and yes. They were cryogenically preserved, and all their junk reconstructed to meet 31st century specifications.
Dave: I love your mash-up idea! It would be so "inside" that only one fanboy nerd would be able to comprehend it. And that guy stopped buying comics ten years ago!
BB: So they have cyberdinguses?
Dave: You CAN let European authors loose in the old west, and they CAN produce excellent comics. Look no further than Lucky Luke.
Naw, 100% organic -- grain-fed, free-range and all that. But still "programmable", if you have the skill. It takes a delicate touch. Like a safe-cracker.
Haw, I bet you got it, you devil.
