And By "Flame World", They Mean "Styling Salon"

silstarr

The dude's name is "Silver Starr", and I don't know anything about him, other than the fact he's Australian, and he looks like a gay version of Travis Morgan. Okay, okay... make that "an even gayer version of Travis Morgan." Happy? Sheesh!

To be frank, I'm kind of digging on his outfit. Especially the winged sweatband or whatever that thing is. And his hair is prematurely silver...! Heavenly... just heavenly. The only thing I'd add is a beard. But as you can see, he already has one... and he's holding her right in front of his crotch. Subtle! I'm sure Tom Cruise would do that with Katie, if he had the upper body strength. It doesn't matter, though, does it? Silver Starr could charge into battle while dry-humping his comely sidekick, and it still wouldn't keep him from "descending into the Flame World."

There's not much to this outfit, but it's not bad. It adheres to what I think is probably the most important rule for when your character concept doesn't imply a certain powerful theme: keep it simple.

Silver armbands. Silver boots. Silver cape. Yeah...okay. I can accept that. It doesn't try to do too much, which is why it gets away with it.

He's holding her in front of his crotch like I used to have to walk around with a Geography text book in junior high. Oh the humanity!

So, are his briefs silver too? I can't see, since his sidechick is obscuring the view of the Silver Stiffy.

The other option would be a pair of Conan-brand fur briefs, with an extra-thick reinforced waist-band for those heavy sword-belts.

"But as you can see, he already has one"

This is why I read Blockade Boy. May the Luck Lords bless and keep you, sir.

I like the idea that the sidechick is actually part of the costume, that wherever he goes, she's draped around him, obscuring his manly parts.

Justin: Exactly, my friend. I could see wearing this ensemble to some place where I want to look nice, but not flashy... like the pharmacist's or the laundromat.

Gyuss: Haw! Well, they're both good for hiding inappropriate boners, I guess!

Dave: Ah, "fur briefs": one of the most beautiful phrases in any language.

Phil: *bows graciously (and elaborately*

Bill S.: If that doesn't strengthen his core, I don't know what will!

"kicky little hat" is probably one of..no THE greatest tag ever applied to a post about an Australian super-hero...

Lurker: And it won't be the last time. Australian heroes love kicky little hats!
