Like "Frogger", But HOT!

sr27splash

Wait, so you can't navigate a log in high heels? It's not a problem for any of the lumberjacks I know. (And if their socks get all squishy, it ain't from water.)

My jaded brain is boggling from the idea that her "best dress" is this limp, feces-brown, matronly "wrap" number. Seriously, what are the runners-up? A macramé ballgown? A cheesecloth trapeze dress? Two milk caps and a whisk broom? A sock in the jaw? For realsies, I just can't picture it!

What stockings?

I imagine that like all of the women of the era she gave up her silks for the war effort and she had her stockings painted on, which was the style of the times. Unfortunately, she's walking through a bog and her "stockings" washed off.

Also, like most comics of the era, she´s drawn in such a way she could be 15, 35 o 55, so maybe she IS a matron.

Although, if this came from a romance comic, she's just old enough to worry about not being married yet.

Them high heels are HIGH.

The macramé ballgown made me giggle like a school girl.

Lurker: They're there. They're just extremely sheer.

Jon: Or, y'know, what you said.

Gustavo: Heh. Good point! If this had been drawn nowadays, she'd be wearing about three square inches of clothing, have a 13" waist, and no apparent spinal column.

Bill S.: They're her special Hiking Heels, from Land's End.

And who goes wandering through the bog in their best dress?

I know I have.

Maybe it's not that she's wearing high heels, but rather that her waist is small enough to fit through a napkin ring that's throwing off her center of gravity.

Comixbear and Jon: Clearly, you two have a lot to discuss.

Justin: Heh. I guess the only reason Supergirl is able to keep upright is her flight/levitational powers.
