Ridiculous Action Sequence Initiated!

Young Gerry Conway, would you care to tell everyone -- in sound-effect form -- just what you were on when you wrote this story?

Yeah... that explains a lot.

I also see that the crumbling balcony that is "scant yards" away from the plane has now totally vanished. Or crumbled! I guess all we are really is just dust in the wind!

One thing I always liked about 80's iron man, they drew him like the suit was spandex. Flexible enough to fit in a briefcase, but with enough circuits and servos to take on a tank.

'scuse for a minute, I gotta get up to get another diet coke from the office fridge. My co-workers are going to wondering why I'm saying "sshhrroom!" all the way

I guess that sound effect is better than "dooooob!"

It wasn't supposed to be spandex, I saw in one comic that it's supposed to be some sort of mesh that goes rigid when an electric current is ran through it (a la Batman's cape in Batman Begins).

And doesn't "And you are... Iron Man!" sound like part of a theme song that Tony sings to himself while flying?

It sort of looks like Tony's pecs are trying to cut off his supply of oxygen. What's with the iron nipples, BTW? Is Joel Schumacher responsible for this comic?

Gyuss Baaltar: Heh. Yup, that "sshhrroom" is addictive, isn't it?

Jon: But just barely.

MaGnUs: So what kind of music is the Iron Man theme song? I'm imagining a sultry Bossa Nova.

Bill S.: I'm not sure, but when he recharges the suit's batteries, the clamps go there.

Aw, and I was so hoping the sound effect would turn out to be "cccrraacckk!"

Naw, too 90's! (Maybe if it was Whitney Houston flying towards the reader...)

Bossa could be, I imagine it's more of a big band lounge with Frank Sinatra thing.
